For the 2nd time this year, Lyttelton awoke to significant snowfall on the ground, causing disruption to the workforce, with closed roads and in some cases snow just too deep to safely move about, unless you had a big 4wd.

Some fun was had with kids, many snowmen were built, makeshift toboggans and sleds wherever a slope was near.

No major damage was caused, but the "wow" factor has quickly disappeared due to the additional time off with staff unable to get to work, and resulting delays to work schedules.
